FAQ
Q: Where do your children get blond hair from?
Our siblings have blond or light hair so we must have genes for that.
Q: How long will you stay in Switzerland?
For as long as God wants us here. When we arrived here, we had no timeline, no set time limit. We are here until the Lord leads us otherwise.
Q: When are you planning on coming back to the States for furlough (home assignment)?
Lord-willing, we will be coming home in 2012. We will be mostly in the north-eastern US, centering in PA, but also visiting New York. We will also be heading out to the CEF International HQ in Missouri and going down south to Tennessee.
Q: Are the children in school, and what language are they using?
Amy is in her second year of kindergarten (A two-year kindergarten is typical in Switzerland). While we speak English and some German at home, she is immersed almost exclusively in Schweizerdeutsch, or Swiss-German. Christopher is learning a little bit of Schweizerdeutsch at playgroup, which takes place once a week for two hours.
Q: You mean they don’t speak Swedish in Switzerland?
No. That would be Sweden. A country farther north.
